The Opening Ceremony is an exciting event that marks the beginning of a new semester and heralds a future full of endless possibilities. The Opening Ceremony of the 2024 Autumn Semester at Haiqing Foreign Language Experimental School once again leads all teachers and students to embark on a new journey with dreams and expectations.
歌舞旋律 扬帆起航
在全校激动民气的倒数声中，随着开场舞蹈《起航》中同学们翩翩起舞的优雅身姿，海青外国语实验学校的开学仪式于9月10日上午正式拉开帷幕。
In the exciting countdown of the whole school, with the opening dance ‘Set Sail’ in which students danced elegantly, the Opening Ceremony of Haiqing Foreign Language Experimental School was officially opened on the morning of 10th September.
谆谆教诲 深切愿望
小学部刘玥实行校长代表学校为新学期揭橥致辞。在她的讲话中，刘校长利用“40”这个充满分外意义的数字来启示我们的思考：提及40，你会遐想到什么？是代表中国奥运代表团勇夺的40枚金牌，也是那勇往直前、不断超越自我的奥运精神。在新学期的征程上，刘校长期望同学们以奥运精神为灯塔，持续奋斗，不懈努力，成为自傲且有为的海青学子。同时，她也希望我们的老师们能够连续追光而行，深植根基，成为海青的精彩西席。
Next, Principal Liu Yue of the Primary Section delivered a speech for the new term. In her speech, Principal Liu used the number ‘40’, which is full of special significance, to inspire our thinking: what do you associate with 40? It is the 40 gold medals won on behalf of the Chinese Olympic delegation, but also the Olympic spirit of going forward and surpassing oneself. In the journey of the new semester, Principal Liu expects students to take the Olympic spirit as a beacon, continue to struggle, make unremitting efforts, and become self-confident and capable students of Haiqing. At the same time, she also hopes that our teachers will continue to follow the light, deepen their roots and become outstanding teachers of Haiqing.
击鼓扬志 文化延续
自古以来，学者必有其师。师者，乃传授知识、解答迷惑之人。启智礼，这一极具意义的仪式，象征着学子对知识的渴求以及对师长的敬意。今日，学校亦将为初入校门的一年级新生举办启智礼，以此开启新学期的聪慧之旅。在这一仪式中，西席们会在孩子们的额头上点上朱砂，通过举行“拜师礼”、“击鼓明志”等传统仪式，勉励学生们珍惜光阴，尊敬师长，继续并发扬中华民族的精良传统文化。
Since ancient times, scholars must have their teachers. A teacher is a person who imparts knowledge and answers questions. The Ceremony of Enlightenment, a very meaningful ceremony, symbolises the students' thirst for knowledge and their respect for their teachers. Today, the school will organise the Ceremony of Enlightenment for the new Year 1 students to start their journey of wisdom in the new term. During this ceremony, teachers will put vermilion sand on the foreheads of the children, and through traditional rituals such as ‘Worshiping Teachers’ and ‘Drumming to Make a Purpose’, students will be inspired to cherish their time and respect their teachers, and to inherit and carry forward the excellent traditional culture of the Chinese people.
春种秋收 果实累累
在刚刚过去的学期里，我们学校呈现出了一批品学兼优的学生。学校领导向荣获“市级三好学生”、“六好少年”、“精良班干部”、“精良团员/精良少先队员”以及“全额奖学金”的60名同学颁发了奖项，他们不仅学业成绩出色，而且在各个领域都有出色的表现，是我们学习的榜样。此外，学校还向在家庭教诲方面树立榜样的家庭付与“家校共育斥候”名誉，并向在各自岗位上作出显著贡献、荣获“省级精良教诲管理者”、“省级精良西席”、“省级精良传授教化团队”、“区级精良西席”、“校级最美班主任”、“校级最美西席”等称号的西席们颁发奖项。
精良学生代表徐子云同学、精良家长代表朱元浩家长、精良西席代表吕蓉易老师分别揭橥了讲话。一所精良的学校是由精彩的西席、家长和学生共同铸就的。在未来的事情中，学校将连续推进家校互助，积极培养更多精良的西席，以造就更多精彩的学生。我们将连续在学习中取得进步，在进步中实现发展，在发展中不断提升，持续贯彻“以德为先，五育并举，六好领悟”的教诲理念。
In the past term, a group of outstanding students emerged from our school. The school leadership presented awards to 60 students who were honoured with the ‘Municipal Three Good Pupils’, ‘Model Youth with Six Virtues’,‘Outstanding Class Cadre’, ‘Outstanding League Member/Outstanding Young Pioneer’ and ‘Full Scholarship’. ‘Awards were presented to 60 students who not only excelled academically, but also in various fields, and are role models for us to follow. Provincial Outstanding Teaching Team’, “Provincial Outstanding Teaching Team”, “District Outstanding Teachers”, “Most Beautiful Class Teacher”, “Most Beautiful Teacher”. School-level Most Beautiful Teacher’ and other titles of teachers awarded awards. Outstanding student representative Xu Ziyun, outstanding parent representative Zhu Yuanhao, and outstanding teacher representative Lv Rongyi delivered speeches. An excellent school is forged by outstanding teachers, parents and students. In the future, the school will continue to promote home-school co-operation and actively train more outstanding teachers in order to nurture more outstanding students. We will continue to make progress in learning, realise development in progress, and improve in development, and continue to implement the educational philosophy of ‘Moral First, Five Education, Six Integration’.

在开学仪式的热烈氛围中，一系列精彩纷呈的演出逐一呈现：小提琴齐奏《the rian》与《灯火里的中国》、外语歌曲合唱《小孩子 大梦想》、舞蹈《快乐的小傣妹》轻盈洒脱、学生朗诵《戴德有你》深情款款，以及合唱曲目《如愿》与《和光同尘》冲动大方动听。这些节目展现了在“分数之上，全面发展”教诲理念熏陶下的海青学子们，他们不仅学业有成，更在艺术领域展现出非凡的才华与自傲，在舞台上闪耀着属于自己的光芒。
In the warm atmosphere of the opening ceremony, a series of brilliant performances were presented one by one: the violin ensemble ‘the rian’ and ‘China in Lights’, the foreign language song chorus ‘Little Children, Big Dreams’, the dance ‘Happy Little Dai Girl’, the students' recitation “Grateful for You”, and the chorus “As I Wish” and “Harmonious Lights, Same Dust”, which are both very stirring and beautiful. These programmes demonstrated that under the education concept of ‘Above Score, All-round Development’, Haiqing students not only succeeded in their studies, but also showed extraordinary talent and confidence in the field of art, shining on the stage with their own light.
师光引领 共赴新程
随后，我们共同见证了一场别开生面、乐趣无穷的环节——班主任老师们亲自上阵，为本班的学生们争抢零食。在日常的教诲与陪伴中，老师们是学生们发展路上的引路人和守护者。然而，在这一分外时候，他们将转变为大胆的战士，为了班级的名誉与同学们的期待，全力以赴地投入到这场零食争夺的意见意义游戏中。同学们则化身为最激情亲切的不雅观众，他们的欢呼声、掌声交织在一起，为老师们的每一次努力与考试测验加油打气。这场由班主任老师为学生们抢零食的活动，不仅带来了欢声笑语，更在无形中加深了师生之间的情绪纽带。我们从中看到了老师们为了学生快乐与知足所展现出的不懈努力与深深的爱，这份朴拙的情绪让人倍感温馨与冲动。
Afterwards, we witnessed a unique and fun session - the classroom teachers themselves competed for snacks for the students in their classes. In their daily education and companionship, teachers are the guides and guardians of their students on their way to growth. However, at this special moment, they will be transformed into heroic warriors, for the honour of the class and the expectations of the students, fully committed to the fun game of snack scramble. The students, on the other hand, were transformed into the most enthusiastic audience, whose cheers and applause were intertwined to cheer for every effort and attempt of the teachers. The activity of grabbing snacks for students by classroom teachers not only brought laughter, but also deepened the emotional bond between teachers and students in an invisible way. We saw the teachers‘ unremitting efforts and deep love for their students’ happiness and satisfaction, and this sincere emotion made us feel warm and touched.
戴德师恩 温暖我心
“笔尖耕耘桃李园，墨水滋养聪慧花。”今年的开学仪式与西席节恰逢同日，在这个洋溢着温馨与感激的时候，我们亲爱的学生们向尊敬的老师们献上一束鲜花。一束鲜花，表达着一份深深的戴德之情。这些娇艳的花朵，满载着同学们对老师的感激与祝福：“敬爱的老师们，节日快乐！
你们辛劳了！
”
‘The tip of the pen ploughs the garden of peaches and plums, the ink nourishes the flowers of wisdom.’ This year's Opening Ceremony and Teachers' Day coincide with the same day, in this moment of warmth and gratitude, our dear students present a bouquet of flowers to their respected teachers. A bouquet of flowers expresses a deep sense of gratitude. These delicate flowers are full of students' gratitude and blessings to teachers: ’Dear teachers, happy holidays! You have worked hard!’

分数之上，铸就未来，海青“打造有温度的教诲”愿景，温暖着每位学子的内心，也勉励着每位园丁的费力耕耘。回望九年风雨兼程，我校不断壮大，硕果累累。如今，即将迎来建校十周年的里程碑，让我们携手并进，在新时期的浪潮中，共同见证我校的辉煌再续！
Above the score, casting the future, Haiqing's vision of ‘creating a warm education’ warms the hearts of every student and inspires every gardener to work hard. Looking back at the nine years of wind and rain, our school continues to grow, fruitful.
